KINGSTON GARDEN CLUB

MEETING MINUTES June 21, 2006

President Annika M called our meeting to order at the Redeemer Methodist Church at 9:38am.

A quorum of members was present.

Hostesses for the Day:      Pat M, Gwen W and Barbara A.

Hospitality: 

Guests today:  Dragan K, Pat P and Dawn V.

                                                New Members:  Dawn V.

Minutes:                                May  minutes were approved as circulated.

Design of the Day:               None today

Treasurer’s report:            Alice M reported our bank balance was $5312.65.

Unfinished Business:         Alice M reminded that KGC forms and $15.00 membership fees are due.

New Business: 

1.       Demonstration of Website by Bobbi W on laptops (taken out of order)

2.       Annika passed out signups for Committees, Design of the Day, Hostess and Door Prizes.

3.       Ann I passed out signups for Blanche Gray at Gordon and Wolfle in the fall.

4.       Annika M,   Motion:  Create an Aloha Wright Grant Committee (if it’s not already created) to be included in the policies and procedures to state:

The Aloha Wright Grant Committee shall review grant applications and make awards.

                                                Motion seconded and carried.

5.       Debbie B on behalf of Jan H:  Motion:  Allocate an additional $300. to allow the AWGC to make two additional awards:  Stillwaters (will have matching funds ) for replacing non-native, invasive plants with native plants as part of Carpenter Creek watershed restoration and Wolfle School  for trail renovation

Motion seconded and carried

6.       Kathy M Motion:  The KGC to donate $300 to the Kingston Fourth of July fund with no restrictions.
