Meeting Minutes

Welcome President Liz called the meeting to order at 9:30am. She thanked the Hospitality Committee, Debbi, Sue, Barbara, Lynne and Carol M.
38 were present
Pledge of Allegiance was said.
(The meeting was started rather that having program because of technical difficulties with the computer/projector)
Treasurer’s report Ann I stated that our bank balance is $8,306.28.
Quilt Raffle Ticket Sales Bobbi encouraged members to keep selling raffle tickets. We may take the quilt to our various organizations and let people see the quilt (It sells itself). She has a calendar and asked that we contact her if we want to borrow the quilt to sell tickets.
Reports
Kingston Citizens Advisory Board - Mary Ann reported that the minutes are in the Community News for all to read. She does report to them what KGC is doing.
Johnny (non member) reported that the sign by the Camperdown Elm tree behind the Village Green is in very bad shape and should be removed. It evidently suggests that KGC is maintaining the area. Ann W agreed to have the sign removed.
Program
(Wendy saved the day, by getting a computer and projector for our speaker as we were not able to access the church’s)
Catherine introduced the Speaker, Heidi Kasters. Heidi attended PLU from 1983-88. In 1988 she and her husband started Dragon Fly Nursery. She gave a wonderful presentation showing us a variety of plants, shrubs and trees.

Sunshine Committee: Elaine was not present, but Liz stated that Marilyn K fell and broke her arm.
Wendy reported that one of our members, Patti, does Polymer Clay art and makes beautiful decorated eggs. Her web site is http://www.pattistoll.com
Show and Tell Carol M shared a beautiful bouquet of daffodils.
Plant Sale
Sue announced that there will be a potting party today after the meeting. She also asked members to check page 13 of the directory for all the Potting Party dates.
She showed us the Garden Sale Poster. It will be distributed to various businesses around April 1st.
She thanked all those who have helped already and gave everyone who had a plant sale voucher.
She also stated that all plants should be at her house to be tagged and labeled.
Announcements
Carol said that the decaf coffee pot is new and that you need to push your cup “in” to dispense the coffee. Do not lift the tab.
